CLINIC
The Council’s Clinic is open for residents on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A Nurse is available between 11.00 and Noon. The Doctor (GP) is available from around 11.30am and leaves when he has seen all the patients present in the waiting room. By arrangement with the Outpatients Department of St. Luke’s Hospital, a range of prescription medicines may be booked through the Nurse. These will be delivered by the MHD to the Council within two weeks to be collected by the patient.
Bulky Refuse Service
The Bulky Refuse Service is available free of charge to all residents of the locality. Bulky refuse is collected by appointment from households every Friday between the hours of 08.30 and 13.30. For details please phone Sharon on 240404 or 230378.
Collection of Domestic Waste.
Domestic waste is collected daily from Monday to Saturday (excluding Public Holidays) between the hours of 09.30 and 13.00. Residents are required to take out their waste half an hour prior to the commencement of service. There is no waste collection on Sundays.
Street Sweeping Schedule.
Daily:-Mimosa Street; St. Luke's Street; St. Luke's Square; Guardmangia Hill; Qrajten Street; Blackley Street and part of Marina Street.
All other streets are cleaned on alternate days or according to requirements. Sweeping is done mechanically and manually.
Payment of Ground Rents
Payments of Ground rents of Government owned properties are accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8.00am and 12.30pm.
Payment of Traffic Fines
Payment of traffic fines is accepted daily between 8.00am and 12.30pm.
